Michelle Fitzgibbon began her career working on various local and statewide campaigns before working as an aide at the Ohio House of Representatives. In 2000, she left the Ohio House of Representatives to work in an independent multi-client lobbying firm. As a lobbyist in the firm, Michelle advocated for a multitude of client issues including: health care, insurance, taxation, local government and education.

In 2010, Michelle opened her own firm, The Fitzgibbon Group. Michelle continues to work with the legislature and state administration on client issues. Her honest approach and reliability has resulted in successful outcomes for her clients including, enacting Ohio’ Bridges Program which provides $24 million per year to foster youth who age out of Ohio’s Foster System at age 18, reforming Ohio’s laws pertaining to pharmacy benefit managers in Ohio, creating a community paramedicine program in Ohio, and creating and maintaining yearly funding for the Emergency Response Plan for the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association.onest approach and reliability has resulted in successful outcomes for her clients.

Michelle received her B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University. She is a graduate of the Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute, a member of The Ohio State University’s POWER Commission, a member of Women Leaders for the Community Shelter Board, a member of the Ohio Lobbying Association, a guest lecturer for The Ohio State University’s NEW Leadership Program and continues to volunteer on campaigns and organizations throughout the year.
